Venture Security celebrates Living Wage Week 2024

For Living Wage Week (4-10th November), we are proud to reaffirm our commitment to fair pay for all and paying our permanent employees at least the minimum hourly rate of pay, as calculated by the Living Wage foundation.

The Living Wage is an independently set hourly rate of pay that is calculated according to the real cost of living. The rate - which is paid on a voluntary basis by employers - is updated annually and is distinct from the statutory national living wage.

The newly released rate is currently £12.60 per hour in the UK and £13.85 per hour in London. This means the new real Living Wage rates are now worth more than £2,262 more per year in the UK than the legal minimum, and upwards of £4,700 more in London.

Since 2017, Venture has been accredited as a living wage employer by the Living Wage Foundation. We were one of the first security companies in the south of England to commit to paying it and we did so because we’ve always believed in paying in line with the cost of living.
