Winchester Business Improvement District (BID) has been in operation since April 2008 and delivers a range of security services and initiatives designed to support local businesses.

Venture has been working with Winchester BID for more than two years, providing Rangers who conduct daily commercial or residential patrols of Winchester city centre. The highly visible presence of the Rangers helps to minimise crime and antisocial behaviour, while offering reassurance to retailers, visitors and residents. They provide frontline customer service, as well as acting as a deterrent and taking pressure off the police.

A core part of the Ranger’s role is partnership working and they act as a central point of contact between key stakeholders, including the local council and police, to support Winchester BID in achieving its objectives and ensuring strong lines of communication are always open.

Event Security Services – Winchester Guildhall

Another service Venture has provided in Winchester for many years now, is event security services. For example, we work with Winchester Guildhall, providing security for corporate events, weddings, concerts and other live music events.
