Venture Security marks expansion with appointment of new sales director

Venture Security has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of Michael McGarry as sales director.

Venture, based in Andover, provides specialist security services to corporate and residential customers based across Hampshire and central, southern England. The company is ranked within the top 2% of UK security providers.

As sales director, Michael will work closely with the board and senior management team to spearhead the company’s ambitious growth plans. He will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with new and existing clients, with a key focus being the expansion of the company’s popular mobile patrols and key holding services.

A veteran of the sales and hospitality industry, Michael joins Venture with more than 20 years’ business development experience. This includes five years as managing director at a regional catering and events firm, and being director of sales EMEA for hospitality technology company Cendyn.

Alongside his passion for business, Michael is also a keen martial artist. He is President of the World Council of Ju Jitsu Organisations and has been director of the Great British Ju Jitsu squad for the last eight years.

Commenting on his appointment, Michael said: “I have known Paul Howe and the team at Venture for many years - even calling on their services myself for sporting events I have been involved with in the past. I’m delighted to now be joining the company, as it enters the next stage in its development.

Venture Security works with corporate and residential clients, ranging from high net worth individuals, to SME’s, blue chip companies, local authorities and event organisers. Customers have included Southampton Football Club, Hampshire County Council, Sparsholt College, Aster Group and Valley Leisure.
