Mobile security patrols offer a cost-effective solution for businesses large and small.

Prior to contracting Venture, The Commercial Centre based in Picket Piece had been relatively crime-free. But in October 2014 that all changed, after the site was the target of an organised crime break-in. The result was that goods and equipment were stolen from 16 of the Centre’s units in a single night and untold damage was caused.

As a result, the Centre took steps to strengthen its security, including hiring Venture to provide professional security patrols, to help safeguard the premises. And we’ve been in place ever since.

Our officers conduct daily security patrol of the units, 365 days a year, providing a visible security presence and limiting any window of opportunity for would-be criminals.

Manned Guarding Services in Andover- Stannah

Lifts expert Stannah is one of the UK’s leading engineering companies. It is an independent, family owned and run company, whose head office and numerous other sites are located in Andover.

Prior to contracting Venture, Stannah had been experiencing issues with its previous security company. This included a high turnover and poor calibre of security staff. The facilities team felt that the service being delivered was not reaching the standard required, so they decided to review their options.

Venture now provides a range of security services for 19 Stannah sites located across Andover and Salisbury.

Town & City Centre Security – Andover BID

Having seen the positive impact that our City Centre Security Officer (CCSOs) were having in other towns and cities in the region, in July 2020 Venture was awarded a contract by Andover Business Improvement District (BID) to help tackle antisocial behaviour in the town centre.

Our trained and SIA licensed ‘BID Rangers’ now conduct daily patrols, looking out for issues including alcohol consumption, excessive noise and intimidating behaviour.

They liaise closely with Andover BID, the police, the local council and other stakeholders, to help maintain and improve community safety and also form an integral part of ‘Op Mazi’ – an initiative launched in 2018 to address anti-social behaviour linked to street-attached individuals.

In April 2021, they were credited with having recovered around £5k worth of stolen goods and the feedback from retailers continues to be very positive.
